There is a reason that pastors struggle with burn out, depression and lapses in integrity. It is hard.

Leadership is lonely.

Ministry is also incredibly rewarding and what many were designed to do.

It doesn’t matter if you are paid/volunteer, liberal/conservative, arrived/stuck, confident/overwhelmed, or anything in between.

It doesn’t matter if you are 18 years old leading a youth group or you’re 73 filling a pulpit for the first time.

Stepping into any ministry position for the first time is a challenge and we all could benefit from a community of others who have or are going through something similar.

There will be multiple voices, but for now mine is primary. I am a Rookie Pastor and I know what it is to be overwhelmed, stuck, and alone. Had it not been for the grace of God and those around me I wonder if I would still be in ministry. My hope is that this blog is a support to you. To us.
