About Josh:
Josh is a Rookie Pastor who works for a local church that he loves. He coordinates local lunch meet-ups with other Rookie Pastors in the Indianapolis area and loves to connect with other Rookie Pastors on and off line. It is his hope that Rookie Pastor will contribute to the health, longevity, and effectiveness of church leaders.
I think he hits the nail on the head when he says that Rookie Pastors are at their best when they are playing the role of friend. So many young pastors want to be Pastors that focus primarily on preaching/teaching but forget that the time on the ground, side by side with folks is where the best illustrations come from, as well as the place where the biggest strides in discipleship occur.

Absolutely Nick, very easy to look at only one aspect (usually the upfront one) and think that’s all there is to it.
