The Idolatry of God

Peter Rollins is my favorite Irish pastor who started a church in a pub, and today his new book: The Idolatry of God was released.

I don’t know what to do with Rollins. I think this is his intention.

He is one of those authors that I love reading but I wouldn’t recommend one of his books from stage on a Sunday morning. That’s a little hypocritical I know.

Rollins has a prophetic voice that makes me uncomfortable. At times I know this is a positive, while at others I’m not so sure. A simple Google search will reveal plenty of people I respect who stand in disagreement with Rollins.

I’ll probably read this latest work and wrestle with it well after I finish the last page, but I guess that’s a good thing.
