Monday Morning Quick Hits

  • I’ve written extensively about the need for support in ministry, because I need it. So as a church planter I am building a team of support, will you join?
  • Youthmin.org just nominated one of my favorite posts as one of their top Youth Ministry posts from the year. Check out the other nominees and vote come Friday.
  • So as we prepare to plant there are a lot of front end needs: design, postage, gas, etc. and revenue from this site has been covering the bulk of those costs. However the account is dwindling and ad space is about to become available. If you have a product, service, blog, whatever you are looking to promote let’s talk
  • ChurchMag has their favorite TED talks.
  • Anxiety is experiencing failure in advance.
  • Intentions won’t get you very far.
  • A video on mission disguised as a baptism video. via @camsprink.
  • Keller on the difference between Gospel and Religion.
  • Donald Miller on Tim Tebow.
  • N.T. Wright on “worldview-story”
  • Church growth myth: healthy things grow.
  • Any other Walking Dead fans out there? Or am the only pastor feeling guilty for watching it.
  • Andrew Luck.
  • Why “Hey” will be the subject of the next email you receive.
  • Video of Chandler on calling.
  • Matt Steen passes on a Sandy update.
  • Fame is a drug.
  • N.T. Wright on women in ministry.
  • How it feels leaving an incredible church.
  • Noble with a Christmas gift list.

Love the Vimeo video! Actually made me laugh out loud.

Also, I, too am a Walking Dead fan! I wonder if we need a pastor’s support group for closet fans?

Yeah that video was pretty good.

Heard someone riffing theologically on Walkind Dead recently, how in the show they are all infected is similar to how we all have the capability of sin/evil. Just another way to rationalize things for you and me.
