The Bible with Fresh Eyes

This week with the high schoolers I lead we started a new series looking at the first three chapters of John. I wanted them to understand that John was coming at the story of Jesus with a freshness, and that in order for us to fully experience it we had to try to see this message with fresh eyes.

I think this is a primary challenge for all who share the Gospel whether with toddlers or retirees and to do so we have to find new and creative ways to share what is already known.

You’re probably familiar with some Jefferson Bethke’s work, but the video below he released recently was a great example of bringing fresh eyes to the story.

The students loved it and come to find out it is inspired by one of my favorite N.T. Wright books
