June Recap

For me personally June was a big month as my wife carried our son to almost full-term (little guy could be here any day) which is a huge answer to prayer that mom and baby are healthy so far. It was also big professionally as I was able to finish up some important ministry activities before the birth. All you Student Pastors know how important the summer and the trips in them can be.

In case you missed them here are some of my favorite posts from the month:

Free eBook: The Rookie Pastor Manifesto

Gave away another eBook (still free by the way) as  a reward for people to sign up for the email newsletter. Short, direct, and what I believe to be the heart of Rookie Pastor. Also had a contest to give away copies of David Kinnaman’s You Lost Me contest is over but the conversation in the comments is still going.

Leading a Small Group

Started a new blog series in June. Whether it is a Bible Study, staff meeting, or youth group in ministry you are always leading small groups of people. I am still fairly new as a Groups Pastor and this is what I’ve learned the hard way.

Pastoral Burnout Infographic

Everyone likes an infographic but this one hurts. Burnout is one of those constant challenges and the data shown here doesn’t do much to make me feel better.
