Introducing the Rookie Pastor Wife

Those of us who are married know what a challenge it is to balance ministry and family life. We may tell ourselves that our family and our ministry are separate, but in reality one bleeds into the other.

So for this next week while I am in Haiti serving with Nehemiah Vision Ministries and my good friends Brandon and Katie Hutchens, my wife is going to be running the site.

She is working on a series of posts about the challenges of being to a pastor that will start tomorrow.

In addition to talking about marriage and boundaries she will also be diving into (and asking plenty of questions about parenting).

A couple of months ago Heidy and I found out that we are pregnant. Sometime next July we will become parents for the first time.

It is our hope that we can engage the Rookie Pastor audience more fully and are looking for any tips we can get on raising a pastor’s kid.
