Before You Leave

If you are a Rookie Pastor you have probably found yourself in difficult leadership positions. Chances are you have thought about leaving for another position.

In my first ministry I thought about leaving quite a bit. It might have been to run from a problem or because I didn’t know how deal with something, but I know now had I left before I did it would have caused more problems than it solved.

The Before You Leave blog series is about what to do before you leave. It isn’t about whether or not you should leave, it is about what to leave well and what you should be doing as you make this decision.

This post will serve as the landing page and will updated and linked as the series develops. If you have something to add let me know in the suggestions.

  1. Keep your Head Down
  2. Fall in Like
  3. Talk to an Outsider
  4. Your Neighbor’s Lawn
  5. Step Away First
  6. Don’t Look
  7. Sell-Out for 3 Months
  8. Make (and finish) a Bucket List
