It is Super Bowl Week for churches and pastors. At least that is what we tell ourselves.
I don’t know how many churches are getting ready to do something audacious in a well-intentioned effort to get people to step into a church for the first time.
There are task lists a mile long as churches move to gymnasiums and concert halls to accommodate the larger Easter crowd.
Pastors are stressing about the sermon, set list, or coordinating all the volunteers needed.
Not to be too cliché but I was reminded how foolish this stress really is.
Easter is bigger than me.
The hard work has already been done.
